We are seeking enthusiastic, team minded individuals to join our team at the New York Show. We are a global entertainment company best known for the award-winning Blue Man Group show, performed in 15 countries and seen by more than 35 million people worldwide since 1991.
Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of lighting equipment and be able to identify and repair problems related to the running of the show and maintenance of lighting and show-specific technologies. ETC ION console experience is a plus. Applicants should have a fairly flexible schedule and be willing to communicate with the full time Electrics Supervisor about scheduling shows.
Responsibilities include: performing preset duties; executing show cues as well as turnover & post show duties in a safe, professional and timely manner; maintenance calls with the Electrics Supervisor and Lead Electrician as needed. Electricians are also responsible for clear communication of show notes amongst the Stage Manager and full timer.
Part Time Electricians are scheduled for shifts at least twice per month, but will generally work more, and are required to attend full company meetings. They must be available to do more shows during the busy spring break (March/April) & Winter Holiday seasons (Thanksgiving through New Year's.)
