We are seeking enthusiastic, team minded individuals to join our team at the New York Show. We are a global entertainment company best known for the award-winning Blue Man Group show, performed in 15 countries and seen by more than 35 million people worldwide since 1991. A dynamic combination of music, comedy and technology, the show appeals to a broad range of age groups and cultural backgrounds. It is continually refreshed with new music, new stories, new instruments and new technology. 


Blue Man Group at Astor Place Theater, New York, is posting for a part-time Deck 3 position within the Props department. Deck Crew members are responsible for a variety of duties within the department and community. Responsibilities include, performing preset duties, executing show cues as well as turnover & post show duties in a safe, professional and timely manner. Deck Crew members regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Part Time crew members are responsible for clear communication of notes amongst the Stage Manager, the Deck Lead, and the Props Supervisor. Experience as a member of a backstage run crew in a theatrical production is preferred. This position reports directly to the Props Supervisor and will receive a performance evaluation on an annual basis.


This is a part time, hourly position, and candidates must have regular weekend availability.  Part Time crew members must be flexible and available for shows during nights, weekends, the holiday season, and there is a Holiday Moratorium (Spring Break and Thanksgiving through New Year’s). There will also be occasional need for weekday maintenance show calls as needed. All Employees are encouraged to attend full company meetings.
