Astor Show Productions is looking for a Lead Video Operator/Engineer. The Lead Video Operator is responsible for running shows, departmental maintenance and repair, and co-coordinating the monthly schedule with the Video Supervisor.
Show responsibilities include preset, executing show cues, and post show or turnover duties in a safe, professional and timely manner. A solid ability to communicate with other production departments and within the video department is extremely important. Additional duties include weekly and monthly maintenance and repairs, executing notes, problem solving, as well as organization and updating systems for the video department.
Candidates should be self-starters with acute attention to detail. Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of analogue and digital video equipment and be able to identify and repair problems related to the running of the show. Experience with live video switching and hand-held camera work is required. Strong communication and time management skills are a must. Additional skills may include: knowledge of media servers, computer networks, research skills, writing and organizational skills.
