Company Manager

Blue Man Group Boston is hiring a Company Manager.


The Company Manager role reports to the Resident General Manager and requires an individual with strong business acumen, superlative communication, leadership and people management skills, and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Duties span the areas of finance, sales reporting and analytics, human resources, and operations.


In addition to participating as a member of the general management department and leadership team for the Boston Production, responsibilities include:


Finance and Sales


Revenue and expense budget build and monitoring, monthly variance analysis and re-forecasting.
Oversee weekly settlement, accounts payable and payroll.
Execute monthly and year end close.
Provide support for year-end audit.
Generate, negotiate, analyze and execute a wide range of business agreements and contracts.
Monitor the collection of sales data to ensure accurate reporting.
Produce sales reports to monitor ticket sales and provide analysis.

Act as the point person with the Box Office in regards to ticketing operations and reporting.


Human Resources and Operations


Will be responsible for a range of activities relating to employee relations including:

Work with managers and supervisors in the facilitation of recruitment, on boarding and off boarding, including the processing of required paperwork throughout the employee life cycle.
Provide employee relations guidance and resolution to managers and supervisors, including ADA and FMLA administration, training and development, regulatory compliance, talent acquisition and retention.
Provide company policy and procedure interpretation.
Supervise merchandise operations.
Oversee workplace safety program including accident prevention, investigation and reporting.

Provide company management show coverage.


This is a full-time salaried exempt position.  This position requires evening and weekend hours.  Bachelor’s degree required as well as 5 + years’ experience in finance/accounting, human resources and or operations, preferably in arts management.   Candidate must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and be an advanced Excel user.  Experience using ticketing systems (Ticketmaster) and Salesforce preferred.
