Blue Man Group at Universal Orlando seeks a full-time Audio Supervisor. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience mixing large theatrical productions or concerts in the entertainment industry. Qualified applicants should have a strong background in audio equipment set up and repair, troubleshooting, and have a working knowledge of intercom systems, paging systems, in-ear systems, playback systems and digital consoles. Experience with DiGiCo consoles and MIDI signal flow a plus. The successful candidate will be a highly collaborative, pro-active problem solver with exemplary leadership skills. Qualified candidates must be safety conscious and detail-oriented with the ability to run and lead a busy department through a fluctuating show schedule.
Supervisory responsibilities include scheduling department staff, managing the daily operations of the department, running a show track, hiring and developing crew, departmental payroll, as well as creating and managing the budgets for the department. The Audio Supervisor must also work collaboratively with all other supervisors and managers within the company to meet all artistic requirements for the show.
Due to show schedules, candidates must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility preferred as schedule fluctuates with the theme park seasons. This is a full-time hourly position with a competitive benefits package.
